The cast of Orange Is the New Black had a big night at the SAG Awards, taking home an award for Best Ensemble Cast in a Comedy.
Fan favorite Uzo Aduba, who plays Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren on the Netflix hit, accepted the award on behalf of her 40 cast members. The actress said:
“Thank you so much to the Screen Actors Guild. Thank you so much. We want to say a big, massive, massive thank you to Jenji Kohan without whom this is not at all possible. We want to say a massive thank you also to Netflix, Lionsgate, to the family there. We thank everyone who has tuned in to our show, who has watched our show and supported it in such a brilliant way. We’re incredibly grateful for this tremendous honor. Thank you very, very much.”
Orange Is the New Black beat out Modern Family in the category, ending the show’s consecutive four year winning streak.
