The NFL has announced that Idina Menzel and John Legend will perform during Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday, Feb. 1. Menzel, who is the voice behind “Let It Go” from Frozen, is set to sing the national anthem. Legend on the other hand, will take on “America the Beautiful” in the pregame ceremonies.
Menzel reached new heights in her career thanks to the success of Frozen and her “Let It Go” becoming a worldwide hit. She is also finishing up her Tony-nominated run in the musical If/Then, which closes on March 22.
Meanwhile, Legend is still enjoying success of his 2014 hit “All of Me.” Most recently he won a Golden Globe for his collaboration with Common on the song “Glory” for the film Selma. “Glory” is also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song.
