Though there’s still no update about the pending release of The Carter V, Lil Wayne has some great news for his fans: he will soon be releasing a new mixtape Sorry 4 the Wait 2.
Fellow YMCMB member Mack Maine shared the announcement on his Instagram page on Sunday (Jan. 11) with a video of Lil Wayne rapping lyrics to his “Sh-t” freestyle.
“Mañana!!!! Tape almost done too 1 more track to murk and finito….#FreeC5,” Mack Maine captioned the photo.
Prior to that, he also shared a nearly identical video with the caption, “After the Packers won me and Tune went over the records and decided it’s time give y’all one off “Sorry 4 The Wait 2″ tomorrow!!! P.S. Tune DOES NOT have an Instagram page #FreeC5.”
It is unclear whether the mixtape will be released today, but the cover art for the album (above) was released in a tweet by Hip Hop Facts and he has released the full version of his “Sh-t” freestyle heard in the Instagram video.
Lil Wayne’s newest mixtape is the follow up to the rapper’s July 2011 released Sorry 4 the Wait.
