Will Smith, Margot Robbie Get Intimate in Latest ‘Focus’ Trailer
Just in time for the holidays, a brand new trailer for Will Smith’s upcoming film Focus has debuted.
The heist thriller is described as follows:
Will Smith stars as Nicky, a seasoned master of misdirection who becomes romantically involved with novice con artist Jess (Margot Robbie). As he’s teaching her the tricks of the trade, she gets too close for comfort and he abruptly breaks it off. Three years later, the former flame—now an accomplished femme fatale—shows up in Buenos Aires in the middle of the high stakes racecar circuit. In the midst of Nicky’s latest, very dangerous scheme, she throws his plans for a loop…and the consummate con man off his game.
In the previous trailer, there was plenty of cash, double-crossing, exotic locations, top-of-the-line fashion and, of course, action. There was even a little romance to fill out the story.
This time around, the focus- no pun intended- is the hot and steamy romance between Nicky (Will Smith) and Jess (Margot Robbie). The trailer begins with the two hopping in bed together, and later shows them bickering like a married couple.
Smith and Robbie are joined in the film by Rodrigo Santoro (the 300 films) and Gerald McRaney (TV’s House of Cards).
Focus hits theaters on Feb. 27, 2015, but it won’t be the last team-up for co-stars Smith and Robbie. The two are also set to star together in Warner Bros.’ 2016 DC Comics film Suicide Squad.
