In the wake of national protest over the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, Alicia Keys uses her voice to call for action as she urges unity, peace and love.
With a powerful piano ballad titled “We Gotta Pray,” the native New Yorker channeled her feelings on the unrest of police brutality and rampant racism in the recent series of events.
“We gotta pray, pray for the world tonight / We gotta save, somebody save somebody tonight,” croons the songstress as protesters in the cinematography hold signs that read “Black Lives Matter.” Along with photos from Ferguson protests are messages of hope with quotes from Martin Luther King, Jr. and Gandhi.
Children are also seen holding signs that say “My Life Matters,” which we’re sure has the expecting mother thinking of her son Egypt and unborn child.
