It looks like Steve Harvey is in a feud for allegedly broadcasting music on his daytime talk show without consent, and now the publishing company wants to be reimbursed.
According to court documents, We3Kings filed the federal lawsuit after a total of 268 unlicensed songs were publicly played throughout season two of The Steve Harvey Show without proper authorization. The music company is demanding an injunction along with $43 million in damages, plus more for each channel that the talk show is syndicated and replayed on.
The lawsuit against Harvey’s actions may lead to all company executives filing for bankruptcy due to the prohibition of licensing all songs for other shows, radio programs and advertisements.
At this time, no response has been given from Harvey or his representatives regarding the lawsuit.
