It was a Young Money takeover at the 2014 American Music Awards on Sunday, Nov. 23, with Lil Wayne, Christina Milian and Nicki Minaj all hitting the stage with performances.
As promised, Lil Wayne debuted his brand new song “Start A Fire,” featuring the newly signed Cash Money singer Christina Milian- who is also rumored to be his girlfriend.
Weezy began the performance by himself dressed in a hoody and shorts. The stage quickly heated up as flames appeared in the background and Milian joined the rapper, wearing a black bralette top and a red skirt with a high split that exposed black lace panties underneath. The rumored couple showed just enough PDA as they performed together, and they left the stage holding hands.
Next up, Nicki gave her first full performance of her new single “Bed of Lies,” featuring Skylar Grey. Sitting at a piano dressed in all white, Skylar Grey lent her vocals as Nicki stood in a flowing white gown to rap her verse to the emotionally raw song about heartbreak of a failed relationship.
Both Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj are preparing to drop their albums next month with Minaj releasing The PinkPrint on Dec. 15, and her label boss unveiling Tha Carter V on Dec. 9.
