NEW VIDEO: Big Sean Feat. E-40 ‘IDFWU’
Big Sean has finally released a visual for the aggressive breakup song “IDFWU,” which is short for I don’t f— with you.
The Lawrence Lamont-directed cinematic video finds the rapper as the star quarterback for a football team that is losing. After a pep talk from mentor Kanye West, who serves as his coach in the video, Big Sean snaps back to reality and leads his team to the ultimate comeback victory.
Featured rapper E-40 appears in the video as a commentator, while DJ Mustard appears as a linebacker and Teyana Taylor as a cheerleader. Plus, there is a noticeable Naya Rivera look-alike in the video.
Big Sean is currently dating Ariana Grande, but before their romance began, he had a nasty split with Glee star Naya Rivera. After “IDFWU” was released, many started to believe that the intense new song was about her.
“I was honestly just putting myself in a perspective,” the rapper told Ryan Seacrest in the interview. “As an artist, you just kinda have to do that, sometimes. It’s funny how records sometimes relate to you later on, sometimes they don’t.”
