Keyshia Cole Beats Assault Charges
Keyshia Cole dodged a bullet and some jail time after being prosecuted for assaulting a woman in L.A. last month.
Cole reportedly went to see her rumored boyfriend and CEO of Cash Money, Birdman, at his condo around 5 AM Sept. 19 when she found another woman in his penthouse. Cole allegedly went nuts and attacked the woman, leaving scratches all over her face.
The singer was arrested for battery and an outstanding reckless driving warrant, but was released on $46,000 bail.
Prosecutors have proposed an informal office hearing instead of going to trial, where a personnel from the City Attorney’s Office will listen to both sides of the argument and then give the singer a stern warning. Although Cole will have avoided jail, the office can still order her to attend mandatory anger management courses, but at least that still beats prison.
