Chris Rock Stars In “Top Five” Comedy Trailer
Not only is this upcoming film going to feature comedians Chris Rock and Kevin Hart, but it will also be produced alongside Jay Z and Kanye West. That’s a lot of success jam-packed into one film!
Written, directed by, and starring Chris Rock, Top Five tells the story of a New York City comedian-turned-film star. He tries to make it big as a serious actor when his reality-TV star fiancée, played by Gabrielle Union, talks him into broadcasting their wedding on her TV show. On the other hand, Kevin Hart, who plays Chris Rock’s agent, wants him to make his next blockbuster. Opting for neither, the funnyman teams up with a journalist (Rosario Dawson) to make a serious documentary about the Haitian revolution.
Also featuring Tracy Morgan, Whoopi Goldberg, J.B Smoove, Sherri Shepherd and more, Top Five created a buzz during the Toronto Film Festival this year.
