Rock The Vote has recruited Lil Jon and his popular hit “Turn Down for What” as a part of their latest efforts to get young voters to the poll in November. The youth voting group released a music video featuring a re-recording of the song, turning the party anthem into their voting anthem.
The new version of the song titled “Turn Out for What” and its video features Lil Jon, Whoopi Goldberg, EJ Johnson, Natasha Lyonne from Orange Is The New Black and more stars listing the reasons why they are voting in the upcoming election. Lil Jon reveals his vote is going towards the legalization of marijuana, while EJ Johnson’s vote will go for marital equality.
In a statement released by the group, the rapper said “the work that Rock the Vote does is incredible. It’s cool for me to collab with such an iconic organization.”
