In the past, St. Louis rapper and spoken word artist Prince Ea has found viral fame with videos like “Why I Think This World Should End” and “What No One Wants to Say about Ferguson!” Now, the artist is back with a message discussing how technology has caused us to be socially disconnected in a video titled, “Can We Auto-Correct Humanity?
In an uploaded YouTube video, he begins with the questions,”Did you know the average person spends four years of his life looking down at his cell phone? Kind of ironic ain’t it?”
He goes on to discuss how technology claims to easily connect us, but ironically it causes us to be more “selfish and separate,” ignoring more important things in life.
“We sit at home on our computers measuring self-worth by the number of followers and likes, ignoring those that actually love us,” he says.
