Jada Pinkett-Smith Talks Fitness and Marriage with ‘Health’ Magazine

Can you believe that Jada Pinkett Smith is a wife and mother of two that just turned 43 today? Neither can we because she looks amazing on the cover of Health magazine’s October issue.

On the cover, the actress shines in a sequined-covered top paired with a lime green bandage skirt. Her look is complete with free-flowing waves in her hair and a natural finish to her makeup.

It’s obvious that the “Gotham” star is fit and fabulous, and inside the issue she dishes on how she stays that way.

“I tell people all the time, ‘You can eat whatever you want, as long as you’re willing to put the work in,’ and that’s a thing I had to learn,” she said. “So I make sure I do something physical every single day. But that doesn’t mean you have to go to the gym and freakin’ kill yourself! I do 20 minutes of cardio a day… Literally, I’m never in the gym longer than 45 minutes.”

She also advised: “Just be consistent— that’s it! It doesn’t necessarily have to be intense, and you will see a difference.”

Besides her physical health, Smith also had advice to offer about keeping a healthy marriage. She and husband Will Smith have a method that seems to be working since they have been married for 16 years and the answer is weekly date nights— even if they have to do it at home.

“A lot of times, we’ll do it at the house because when we go out it can be a little hectic,” the actress admits.”We have different places around our yard where we like to set up a little Arabian tent, pillows, wine and cheese, candlelight. Will likes really thought-out productions.”
