“Scandal”-Inspired Clothing Line For The Limited

Kerry Washington’s hit ABC drama “Scandal” will kick off its fourth season on Sept. 25, but you can get your Olivia Pope fix even earlier thanks to an upcoming clothing line inspired by the show at The Limited.

The collection, designed by Ms. Pope and “Scandal” costume designer Lyn Paolo, consists of more than 70 items that range in price from $49 to $250. Washington speaks on the versatility of her pieces, which can be interchanged among other wardrobe items and create over 3,000 different looks.

“Women often feel that they have to be either smart or beautiful, powerful or pretty, either fashion forward or successful, and I think this clothing line says you can be all of those things, ” Washington said. “You can be fabulous and fearless. And you don’t have to compromise who you are as a woman to fit somebody’s expectation of what power looks like.”

The garments, described as “gladiators in suits,” are slated to hit stores and online vendors next week. They will be available for purchase until next May, the end of the 2014-15 television season.
