Just before rap stars Drake and Lil Wayne embark on their co-headlining tour across the country, an interactive app designed for the tour will be making its grand debut on Google Android and Apple iOS stores.
With an interesting collaboration with tour sponsor Capcom (the videogame creator behind Street Fighter and many others), DvsLW will enable fans to select their city and pick a side (Drizzy or Weezy) during each night’s rap battle.
“We are both thrilled that our fans will get the unique opportunity to join us in this interactive experience,” the duo said referencing their app.
Fans will have a “button mash” as if they were playing the latest Ultra Street Fighter IV video game to help their favorite rapper “power up,” but we’re not entirely sure how this will impact the performers in real time.
The tour kicks off tonight at Darien Center, New York. The app is currently available for download. See below for the full list of tour dates and teaser clip for the DvsLW app:
