A$AP Rocky Faces Lawsuit For Allegedly Slapping Fan

An alleged assault has been haunting A$AP Rocky since a woman accused him of slapping her in the face at a Philadelphia show last September.

According to Lisamarie Wade, she was enjoying the Made in America Festival of 2013 when Rocky began to make his way through the crowd and towards the stage. Amid the chaos, Wade says the rapper made eye contact with her, and for no apparent reason, hit her so hard that she fell to the ground.

Wade said she felt “dizzy,” suffered bruising, and had to leave the concert to go to the hospital.

“There’s no excuse for a man to ever hit a female. Ever. … I want to make sure that he gets prosecuted for this and gets in trouble because this isn’t the first time he’s done it,” she added, likely referencing another alleged incident with A$AP Rocky and female fan at a concert in Australia just two months before. “And this isn’t the first time that somebody, a performer or a rap star or somebody famous, has hit somebody in the face and not gotten in trouble for it.”

Wade is now seeking compensatory and punitive damages for civil assault and battery, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, negligence and premises liability and has also named Live Nation, Jay Z’s Roc Nation, event organizers and subcontractors, as well as the employees and employees of John Doe security in her Federal Court suit.

The “young, single mother” now wants at least $75,000, claiming that the incident has hindered her ability to “enjoy society with her minor child.” Well, that’s sure to tug on the heartstrings of a potential jury.

Representatives for A$AP Rocky and Roc Nation were not immediately available for comment, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted! Let us know your thoughts on the case in the comments section below.
