Singer Ray J was charged with 10 counts on Monday, stemming from a wild night out at a Beverly Hills hotel in May, according to reports.
The 33-year-old singer was arrested for battery, trespassing, vandalism and resisting arrest after causing a disruption in a bar at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, according to TMZ.
On the night of the arrest, police originally respond after Ray J, real name William Ray Norwood, allegedly brushed up against a woman’s butt and was ordered to leave. Police determined at the time that it was not sexual battery because the touch was “incidental” not intentional.
Ray J left the bar as he was instructed, but went crazy in an alcohol-fueled rampage. He allegedly spat on a police officer and kicked out the window of a police car after he was handcuffed. He says he kicked out the window because he is claustrophobic, according to TMZ.
L.A. County prosecutors charged him with four counts of resisting arrest, three counts of assault and battery, two counts of vandalism and one count of sexual battery. The DA charged him with sexual assault even though police at the scene say no such crime was committed.
Ray J has not commented on the charges, but maybe the incident will be covered when he appears in the first season of “Love & Hip Hop: LA.”
