Solange Denies Friendship With Mother of Mathew Knowles’ Alleged Child
Mathew Knowles’ latest paternity drama is getting messy very quickly.
Yesterday, the Internet began to go crazy with speculation after an old photo of Solange Knowles with her father’s latest alleged child’s mother, TaQoya Branscomb surfaced.
According to TMZ, Solange and TaQoya were friends. Sources said the two ladies hit it off when they met through a stylist in 2008. After the meeting, they supposedly hung out on multiple occasions, partying at nightclubs and bars in Houston.
Reports also suggested that Mathew knew TaQoya and Solange were hanging out, but his daughter was oblivious to the affair.
Since those initial reports, Solange’s reps have made contact with TMZ on her behalf and they are denying the claims. According to the rep, Solange denies ever knowing TaQoya personally and says the image in question is just “a random fan photo.”
Branscomb has yet to comment on the photo, but she did speak out earlier this week to address being publicly criticized for photos of her in barely the outfits. Of course, Internet users were not shy about questioning her character after seeing the racy images. The lingerie model turned real estate agent felt the need to speak out in her defense.
“First I’d like to thank my family, my friends, and the public for their love and support,” she said in a statement released to HipHollywood. “I have taken the necessary legal action against Mathew Knowles. With that being said… it’s in my best interest for this to remain a private matter for now… Above all I am a mother and my daughter’s well being is my only priority. It was never my intention for this to become a public matter.
She added: “The pictures you see are in no way a representation of who I am. They were taken 10 years ago… And I am now a hard-working successful single mother. Honestly I just want what is best for my daughter.”
30-year-old Branscomb filed a petition in Texas on May 30, claiming Knowles got her pregnant in 2010. In the legal documents, Branscomb is requesting Knowles take a DNA test for the female child, and is also requesting child support and money for her attorney’s fees.
