Former Scandal actor Columbus Short has found himself on the wrong side of the law once again.
Short was arrested by Dallas police around 2 a.m. Saturday for public intoxication at a local bar called Katy Trail Ice House, , police spokesman Warren Mitchell said.
According to TMZ, the actor was celebrating the holiday when he reportedly seemed like he was getting up to leaving without paying his bar tab. A security guard confronted him and Short became belligerent, accusing the guard of being racist.
Off-duty police officers broke up the scuffle, but Short then allegedly became physical with them. An eyewitness said Short would not calm, describing his actions “like a dog with a bone who wouldn’t let go.”
The “Stomp the Yard” star was then arrested for public intoxication.
The incident is the actor’s latest run in with the law. He was arrested for punching and knocking out a bar patron, and also twice for domestic violence. His wife claims he threatened to kill her. His legal troubles cost him his job on ABC’s hit show Scandal.
Short’s rep has not commented on the most recent incident.
