Beats By Dre Drops Star-Studded World Cup Commercial
Beats by Dre released a ridiculously awesome star-studded commercial titled “The Game Before the Game,” which featured Brazilian football player Neymar da Silva Santos, Jr., along with LeBron James, Serena Williams, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and plenty of others.
Since Beats is not a sponsor for the FIFA World Cup, they were prohibited from mentioning the event by name. However, the commercial heavily implies the moments before a big match. A flood of celebrity appearances flash across the screen in the intimate moment Neymar’s father prepares him to proudly represent their country on the field.
Apple held a prominent role in a few scenes, which was expected since they are currently awaiting regulatory approval of the Beats purchase. The deal is expected to close in its fiscal fourth quarter, which ends in September.
