Chris Brown is ‘Humbled and Blessed’ After Release From Jail

Chris Brown is finally a free man again.

The 25-year-old singer was released from a Los Angeles County jail at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, reports the Associated Press. Brown had been on custody since mid-March, when he was arrested after being kicked out of a court-ordered rehab center due to violation of rules. In early May, a judge ruled that he remain behind bars for 131 more days after he pleaded guilty to violating his probation by getting into a scuffle outside of a D.C. hotel in October 2013. However, officials gave the R&B star an early release for a number of factors including good behavior.

Shortly after his release, Brown tweeted, “Humbled and Blessed…Back to the Music and the Fans…Thank you GOD.”

The Grammy-winning singer has been on probation since the 2009 attacked of his then-girlfriend Rihanna. Brown’s probation has been extended until Jan. 23, 2015, and he will be required to submit to random drug testing at least three times a week, participate in psychiatric counseling two times a week and attend outpatient therapy at least twice a week. He is also expected to complete the remainder of the 1,000 community service hours he was given in August, according to E! Online.

He’s due back in court Aug. 13 for a progress report, but in the meantime he will be returning to his music and working on the long-awaited release of his upcoming studio album X.
