Ciara Gives Birth To A Baby Boy! Names Him Future Zahir Wilburn
Welcome Future Zahir Wilburn! Ciara and Future welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, early Monday morning in Los Angeles, reports Page Six.
The R&B singer confirmed the news herself via Twitter on Tuesday with a tweet. “FUTURE ZAHIR WILBURN 9lbs 10oz May 19 2014,” read the text accompany a snapshot of lil’ Future’s arm and hand. This is the first child for Ciara, and the fourth for Future.
Before the baby’s birth, the new mom admitted choosing a name was not difficult. “It was kind of easy,” she shared. “But the middle name was a little hard for me… I went with what felt right in my soul and my gut. I didn’t second guess it.”
Ciara, 28, announced her pregnancy during an appearance on The View back in January, where she debut her baby bump for the first time. The big news came just three months after the singer and rapper-producer announced they were engaged.
Just last week the “Body Party” singer showed that she was prepared for the arrival of her bundle of joy as she shared a photo off her all-white nursery on Instagram. “In Love With My @angelsonghome Gliding Chair, and My @BrattDecor Baby Crib For My Little Prince. This Is All Surreal. Everything About This Time And Process…Wow!!:),” she captioned a photo of the nursery.
Now that the couple’s baby boy is here, Ciara can enjoy her first try at motherhood and prepare for the next big event in her life: her wedding. Ciara and Future are due to tie the knot this fall.
