Best and Worst of Met Gala Red Carpet 2014

A-listers of Hollywood and the fashion world hit the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday evening for the annual Costume Institute Gala.

Because the Met Gala is one of fashion’s biggest nights, the “White Tie & Decorations” themed event gave its attendees the opportunity to show up in there best.

Rihanna looked stunning in a white floor length ensemble that showed off her midriff. The look, designed by Stella McCartney and co-designed by herself, was accessorized Jacob & Co. and Dionea Orcini jewels.

Another standout of the event was actress Zoe Saldana. The Avatar actress looked gorgeous in a black-and-white paisley-printed gown by Michael Kors.

While some stars rocked the red carpet, others stood out for there fashion fails.

We never thought we would have to say this, but Hollywood’s darling, Lupita Nyong’o, may have been one of the worst dressed at this year’s Met Gala. The 12 Year’s A Slave actress came dressed in a green beaded and feathered flapper-esque Prada outfit.

Joining Nyong’o on the worst dressed list is, Gabrielle Union. The Being Mary Jane star wore a black bralette that showed off her fit midriff and a skirt that features a lot of feather and fringe.
