Now that “Happy” has reached the highest levels of success, Pharrell Williams is moving on with the just-released video for his newest single “Marilyn Monroe.”
The colorful and energetic video directed by Luis Cervero, shows the singer dancing from scene-to-scene in various rooms with sexy women as he sings about the beauty of a woman.
Notably, the star responded to the criticism he received for only featuring fair skinned women on his “G I R L” album cover by using a dark-skinned beauty as the cover for “Marilyn Monroe.” She also appears in the video.
“G I R L,” the singer-rapper-producer’s newest album, debuted a No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in March. The album’s lead single “Happy” reached No.1 and has had a long run on the Billboard 100.
