‘Scandal’ Actor Columbus Short Under Investigation For Bar Fight
Scandal star Columbus Short has found himself in a bit of a scandal that needs some Olivia Pope fixing. The actor was recently involved in bar fight that left the other guy in the hospital and now cops are conducting a criminal investigation, according to TMZ.
According to law enforcement, the incident happened around 10:45 p.m. on March 15 at Gabe’s Bar and Grill in Los Angeles where Short was attending an engagement celebration and an argument started at the bar with a man.
The argument escalated into a physical altercation after the man made a comment along the lines of, “You might be richer than me but I get my girls to buy me everything I want including your wife.”
Short sucker punched the guy leaving him unconscious for several minutes and with a broken nose, an eyewitness told TMZ.
Partygoers say Short quickly left the bar and an ambulance was called for the 37-year-old man to be taken to a nearby hospital.
Police are investigating a criminal battery.
The actor found himself in a similar situation in March 2010 when he punched a guy in the face, knocking out several of his teeth in a argument that started while playing basketball at a Los Angeles fitness gym.
No comment has been given by Short and there are no updates on the impending investigation as of now.
