Gabrielle Union Talks Wedding Plans and Prenups on “The Arsenio Hall Show”

Gabrielle Union stopped by “The Arsenio Hall Show” on Monday to show off her ring and dish on the details of her future marriage to Miami heat baller Dwyane Wade.

During an appearance on the Think Like A Man star revealed the importance of a prenuptial agreement with her fiance before tying the knot.

“For this marriage, the biggest difference between this and the last marriage will be a prenup, at my insistence,” Gabrielle told Arsenio. “When you have your own stuff, you don’t need to worry about anybody else’s stuff… The reality is, I’ve never seen Dwyane balance a check book, so I got to protect my stuff.”

She adds, “Everyone should go into the relationship knowing, ‘I’m here for you, and you’re here for me.’ And the reality is, I’ve never seen Dwyane balance a checkbook… so, I gotta protect my stuff!”

Besides what will happen before the marriage, she also discusses details of the actual wedding.

“There are no bridesmaids, no groomsmen,” she told Arsenio Hall about her upcoming nuptials. “Trying to wrangle a bunch of broads … somebody wants one kind of dress, somebody wants something else. You start to, like, not like them after a couple months. And we’re older. This is the second time around. It’s us and the kids, and we’re just riding out, just us.”

She also goes on to discuss the brutal guest list policy the couple has in place.

“There’s a lot of people that think they’re coming, and they are not. Oh, it’s bad!” she revealed to a shocked Hall. “(Wade’s) the executioner. He’s like, ‘Let’s go through your list. Absolutely not.’ I’m like, ‘Our cousins?!’ And, he’s like, ‘No.’ If you’re not about us, and we don’t both have a relationship with you, you’re not going to make it.”

Looks like this time around will be very different for the Being Mary Jane star that divorced retired NFL player Chris Howard in 2006.

Union, 41, and Wade, 33, were engaged this past December. There’s no word of the date of the wedding, but with no bridesmaids, groomsmen and a tight guest list, the planning should be a lot easier.
