Kevin Hart Covers Vibe Magazine’s Winter 2014 Issue

Kevin Hart has had a staple year and he is ending it by covering VIBE magazine’s Winter 2014 Race Issue.

In the interview the comedian turned actor discusses omitting race in his routines. “My style of comedy is more self-deprecating. I think that makes me more relatable,” he tells VIBE. ”When you deal with “topics”—race, white versus black—you’re not separating from the pack.”

And when it comes to racism in real life he says, “I don’t give it the attention. I don’t welcome negative energy.”

He also he talks about his success this year and what is to come for his career.

“2013 was a great year—2014 is shaping up to be even bigger. In my mind, I’m like, ‘How do I top it in 2015?’ I think that’s where me as a brand, a mogul and CEO comes in.”

To finish the year he stars alongside Sylvester Stallone and Robert Deniro as a desperate boxing promoter in his newest movie, Grudge Match, which hits theaters on Christmas day. And at the top of 2014, he stars with Ice Cube in Ride Along. We’ll see him later in the year, in the summer in the remake of the romantic comedy About Last Night with Michael Ealy, Joy Bryant, Regina Hall and Paula Patton. Hart will also be returning for the much anticipated encore Think Like a Man Too next summer.

And of course, there’s the third season of his BET reality satire Real Husbands of Hollywood, which he’s currently shooting with Nick Cannon, Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin, Nelly and JB Smoove.

Hart is one busy man in 2014!
