Rihanna is setting records just like music greats.
Thanks to her collaboration with Eminem on the Marshall Mathers LP 2 single “The Monster,” the pop princess has now tied Michael Jackson’s record of 13 No.1 singles in the U.S., according to Billboard.
This new accomplishment puts her behind only The Beatles with 20 No. 1′s and Mariah Carey’s 18 No. 1 hits. She has surpassed Madonna and The Supremes who both have 12.
Billboard notes, “from her first week at No. 1 on the Hot 100 with “SOS” (May 13, 2006) through this week’s chart (dated Dec. 21, 2013), Rihanna’s registered 13 leaders in a span of seven years, seven months and eight days, marking the fastest run to the sum by a woman.”
“The Monster” claimed the No.1 spot on the top of the Hot 100 this week after bumping Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” out of the spot.
