Performance artist Nate Hill is raising quite a few eyebrows with his attempt to make a statement in a very unusual way.
On an Instagram page named “Trophy Scarves”, Hill photos himself with white women draped around his neck in the same fashion as a scarves.
What’s the overall meaning for this uncanny “accessory” choice?
“Well, there are people who see certain races as status symbols, and someone had to comment on it,” Hill told Vice Magazine.
Hill tells the magazine he is using satire to critique black men that use relationships with white women as a way to attain a certain level of social status.
“Trophy Scarves” is not his first jab at criticizing social issues through satire. ”White Powder Milk” is another stint by Hill with the same common issue as his most recent.
