Compton rapper The Game is stepping up to help victims of the Phillippines typhoon and encouraging others to do the same. As a part of his “The Robin Hood Project” with professional poker player Dan Bilzerian, The Game donated $10,000 to assist with relief efforts.
The country was devastated when it was hit by a typhoon that left a heavy trail of destruction and grief. The ravaging storm caused more than 3,600 deaths with more than 12,000 injured and more than 1,100 missing. An estimated 4 million people have been displaced.
This is not the first time Game has donated to a worthy cause. In September, he gave $10,000 to the family of a six-year-old girl who was fatally shot outside her home in Los Angeles.
Game’s “The Robin Hood Project” plans to donate $1 million dollars by the end of this year.
