More companies have now decided to end their relationship with celebrity chef, Paula Deen. The newest companies to sever ties with Deen includes The Home Depot, Target, Wal-Mart and Caesars Entertainment. Her relationship with Novo Nordisk, a global healthcare diabetes care company, is one thin ice and has been suspened pending the outcome of her racial slur scandal.
Target plans on phasing out its Paula Deen-branded cookware and other items by not replenishing the inventory once the merchandise is sold out. The Home Depot on the other hand, has already pulled Deen’s products off its shleves and website.
Wal-Mart dropped Deen after only two years of carrying her branded items.
Caesars Entertainment operates the celebrity chef’s restaurants in four locations and now plans to re-brand those restaurants in the near future.
It is estimated that Deen is set to lose $4.5 millions from the loss of her endorsements.
All does not seem gloomy for the butter loving diva, her annual Paula Deen Cruise sign up has been so great that they have added a second departure for 2014.
