He’s already the top-earning rapper, now Dr. Dre is also the highest-paid musician, according to Forbes. The rapper-producer raked in $110 million this year, taking in $100 million before taxes in a deal with HTC and his Beats headphone line. The rest of the top five earners were from the U.K., with Pink Floyd bassist and singer Roger Waters following Dre with $88 million, largely from his The Wall Live tour.
Elton John came in third, grossing $80 million, and U2 slotted in at forth, with a combined $78 million from their three-year 360 tour. Take That topped off the top five with $69 million, boosted by an eight-day residency at London’s Wembley Stadium, the highest-grossing single stadium tour to date.
