Muhammad Ali Enterprises Marks 35th Anniversary of ‘The Rumble In The Jungle’ with Online Events
November 15, 2009
“The Rumble in the Jungle,” was more than just a boxing match. The epic 1974 battle between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman in Zaire’s jungle heat was one of the most anticipated championship fights of all time. Younger than Ali and the reigning heavyweight champ, Foreman was the heavy favorite. Yet Ali’s surprising “rope-a-dope” strategy provided him a stunning upset victory over the then indomitable Foreman.
But beyond the remarkable athleticism and cunning gamesmanship that Ali displayed, it was the personal rapport he developed with his African and international fan base that helped establish him as a unique global icon.

Alliance for Digital Equality Voices Support for the Congressional Black Caucus
October 27, 2009
In an open letter released today, the Alliance for Digital Equality (ADE) expresses their support for members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) who called on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to reiterate, not repudiate, its historic commitment to the principles that have fostered an Internet open to all: competition, private investment and a restrained regulatory approach. Last week, members of the CBC submitted a letter to the FCC expressing the hopes and concerns of their constituents regarding the upcoming proceedings focused on the deployment and use of broadband networks.
“We stand with these members of Congress in supporting President Obama’s goal of achieving affordable, universal broadband in our society,” said ADE Chairman Julius H. Hollis. “That is precisely why we believe the opinions expressed in the letter endorsed by 72 Democratic members of the U.S. Congress are so important – because they clearly understand that allocating costs in a fair and equitable manner is in the best interest of all consumers.” Read more

Akon’s Hitlab.com had predicted all 3 Lady Gaga hits
October 14, 2009
Thanks in no small part to his Hitlab.com website, hip-hop superstar Akon was able to correctly anticipate pop icon Lady Gaga’s success to date.
Hitlab, which is owned by Akon, employs the use of its proprietary Dynamic Hit Scoring (DHS) technology to determine how likely a given song is to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.
Based on a multitude of factors, an uploaded song is given a score as a percentage, with 70% generally considered to be the cut-off point between a song that has moderate and massive hit potential.
Lady Gaga, who was discovered by Akon and is signed to his Kon Live Distribution label, has had her three massive hits, “Poker Face”, “Just Dance”, and “LoveGame” earn DHS scores of 90% and over. In addition, all three were successfully predicted to hit the Billboard’s top 5 by Hitlab, according to thanalyses.
