Eve Officially Joins “The Talk” as New Host

Back in June, Aisha Tyler announced that she will be leaving The Talk after six years as host. Now, it has been announced that Grammy Award winning rapper Eve will be joining as new host of the daytime Emmy-winning talk show.

On Tuesday (November 14), CBS officially announced the “Love is Blind” emcee will be joining Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Julie Chen and Sheryl Underwood as a new permanent host. Before the official announcement, the Philly native appeared on the show as a guest co-host during the week on October 30th.

“We are thrilled to welcome Eve to the table as she brings a fun and fresh perspective to our already diverse panel,” Angelica McDaniel, Executive Vice President, Daytime Programs, CBS Entertainment said in a press release. “The great success of THE TALK is due to the undeniable chemistry and bond of friendship between the hosts. Eve is an accomplished and dynamic performer, musician, wife and stepmother who fits in seamlessly, while also adding a new layer to the show as we continue to evolve season to season.”

Currently living in London with her husband, British entrepreneur Maximillion Copper, and her four stepchildren, Eve said the decision to join The Talk was a no brainer and it opportunity will be a new chapter in her life. “When I first got the first call in London, my manager told me about the opportunity, and at first I was like, ‘I don’t know, because it’s far from from home,” she said to People. “But the last few months I’ve been feeling that I want to join something. This opportunity came and it’s something new, something exciting. It’s a new chapter in my life, so why not?”

“I’m looking forward to being able to showcase my personality in a way that people have never seen before,” she added. “But, also, getting to know these women and be able to share and hear opinions and have friendly debates and talk about the news in a way that’s not so depressing.”

Better known as the Ruff Ryders’ First Lady, Eve has released four studio album and 32 singles throughout her career including; “Who’s That Girl,” “Gangsta Lovin,” “Satisfaction,” and “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” –which earned the femcee a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2002.
