DMX Teams Up with Kingdom Reign Entertainment to Create New Docu-Series

After appearing on several reality television shows, it looks like DMX will be returning to the small screen very soon! It has been reported that DMX had joined forces with Kingdom Reign Entertainment to create a new docu-series.

The show, currently titled In the Dog House, will feature the “Where the Hood At” rapper as he allows viewers into an intimate look inside his life – as Variety reports. The series will document his recent release from drug rehab, the creation of his new album, and follow him as he attempts to mend his relationship with his 15 children and their mothers. With a 44-year prison sentence for tax evasion looming, it is unclear if the award-winning rapper will have time to right his wrongs before he learns his outcome.

“I’m just excited to get back out there and show my fans that I’m still a force to be reckoned with in hip hop, and invite them into my vast world of spirituality and growth,” the rapper said.

According to Variety, the new series will be taken to the market this month. In the Dog House will be produced by Carlos King’s Kingdom Reign Entertainment, who also produced Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir: The Mane Event and Real Housewives of Atlanta, through a deal with ITV America. DMX will also serve as executive producer alongside King.

“Although DMX has been a lightning rod of controversy, he’s one of the greatest performers in all of music,” King said per Variety. “We’re thrilled to take this ride with him and look forward to helping him tell his story that we feel viewers will be intrigued by and startled to see.”

This isn’t the first time the rapper has been on reality television. Back in 2012, DMX had a breakthrough on Couples Therapy alongside his wife – during his time on the series, the rapper spoke about his childhood and his relationship with his estranged mother. Not long after his appearance on Couples Therapy, DMX also appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN’s Iyanla: Fix My Life where spoke to his estranged son and about his drug use.

The news of the new docu-series comes after X starred in a new teaser for the upcoming Timberland and Engineered Garments collaboration. Be sure to check out the teaser below!
