Remy Ma Inks Multi-Million Dollar Deal with Columbia Records

It’s like Remy Ma just keeps on winning! Since the Bronx native’s release from prison back in 2014, she has worked her way back into the music scene in a big way. It has been confirmed that Remy signed a multi-million dollar deal with Columbia Records.

According to Baller Alert, the “Heartbreak” femcee was fielding offers from several labels before landing the new record deal. Although there’s no additional details about the deal, it has been reported that Remy’s forthcoming album will be called Seven Winters, Six Summers –which references her time in prison.

The rapper, who has been nominated for three Grammys and won Best Female Hip-Hop Artist at the 2017 BET Awards, gained momentum after releasing “Plata O Plomo” with longtime friend and colleague Fat Joe, which included the hit “All the Way Up.” Remy was also able to make a transition from music to television after she joined the cast of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop New York, which kicked off its 8th season on Monday (October 30).

After news broke of the new deal, Remy took to Twitter to thank her fans who congratulated her on the big accomplishment.

Along with the new record deal, TMZ reports that Remy has teamed up with Lil Kim for a Nicki Minaj diss track. The two shot a music video for the track, “Wake Me Up,” last week in the Bronx – and as expected, the track is riddled with subs at Minaj.

“That crown I’m gon take that sh*t. Cause you a clown and homie don’t play that sh*t.”

“I heard he lay that d***. You let them filet that fish. You just met him, how he bae that quick?”
