Gucci Mane Is Getting Off Probation Two Years Early

2017 is proving to be a year of winning for Woptober rapper Gucci Mane. On top of next week’s release of his forthcoming book The Autobiography of Gucci Mane and marrying long-time love Keyshia Ka’oir next month for a televised BET event – the Atlanta rapper has gotten some great news on the legal front. Reportedly, Gucci’s probation period is ending a whole two years early.

The positive outcome is a result of Gucci’s legal team filing court documents in favor of a request for early termination of his probation sentence. The motion was granted after being unopposed. For those of you who don’t know, before his release, the “Make Love” rapper was serving a three-year sentence in an Indiana prison for aggravated assault.

Even after the release, Gucci received a probation sentence of three years for a federal gun charge he acquired for the assault. Gucci will officially be a free man on September 19.

His official date of freedom happens days after the release of his eleventh studio album entitled Mr. Davis, which is set to drop on September 15. So far the album has spawned a few singles, including the Nicki Minaj-assisted track “Make Love,” Tone It Down,” featuring Chris Brown, and the self-produced track “I Get the Bag” featuring Migos.

This week, wedding bells have been in the air for the rapper as well as photos of him and Ka’oir’s $1,000 wedding invites circulated around social media via TMZ. According to the entertainment news site, each wedding invitation is a “mirror-inspired booklet adorned with Swarovski crystals inside.”

Additionally, a trailer for the first look of Gucci’s life story debuted this week in ahead of the book’s September 19 release. The Autobiography of Gucci Mane was co-written by Gucci and music journalist Neil Martinez-Belkin. It is said that it will cover everything Gucci – from his childhood to the creation of Brick Squad to his incarceration.

Purchase the book on pre-order now or wait for it to drop in bookstores everywhere, September 19. Watch the trailer for the book below.
