Beyonce Finally Shares First Photo of Twins Sir and Rumi Carter with the World

The Queen Mother is serving us life yet again. Early Friday morning (July 14), Beyonce Knowles-Carter decided to gift the world with a treat by sharing the first exclusive photo of her twins, Sir and Rumi Carter. In celebration of the twins now being a month old, the “Formation” singer took to her Instagram to commemorate the twins’ birthday.

The photo is in theme with the maternity photo shoot that Beyonce had creative directed and photographed around the twins’ birth and welcoming. It actually mirrors and acts as an extension of her pregnancy announcement shoot she debuted back in February where she wore baby blue underwear and a veil, surrounded and adorned by flowers. Now, Beyonce also dons a long silk robe and stands tall with her newborn babies cradled within her arms.

“Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today,” the caption reads.

While the Instagram post is stunning (and popular with 6.9 million likes and counting), it serves many purposes when you think about it. Not only has Beyonce shared the first official photo of her twins with the public, but she has also confirmed their gender, their names, and their actual birthdate in one photo and in seven words or less. With this photo, it is now known that the twin Geminis, Sir Carter and Rumi, were in fact born June 13, 2017.

Beyonce has kept mum about details surrounding the birth of the babies, but it was speculated that Sir and Rumi were reportedly born prematurely and had to endure an extended stay at the hospital for supervision and treatment for jaundice. This is the first time fans are being treated to some insight on the Carter family since the twins’ arrival. If this shoot is anything like her extensive maternity shoot, we’ll definitely stay tuned for more pics throughout the weekend of the Carter twins.

Happy one month of life Sir and Rumi!
