Keisha Knight Pulliam in Hot Water with Ex Ed Hartwell over Attending Bill Cosby Trial

Bill Cosby is inadvertently caught in the middle of former costar Keisha Knight Pulliam and Ed Hartwell’s divorce/custody battle. After seeing Knight Pulliam’s moment of solidarity with Cosby on during the first day of his sexual assault trial, Hartwell, 39 submitted a motion on Thursday (June 8) with the Fulton County Family Court.

In the motion, the former NFL athlete claimed that Knight Pulliam, 38, did not follow the arrangements regulated by their court ordered custody agreement when she failed to show up for their one-hour Tuesday visit. He was unable to see their five-month-old daughter, Ella Grace, during the agreed upon time and failed to give him any updates as to why or why not. Knight Pulliam had instead flown from Georgia to Pennsylvania to show support for her longtime TV dad Bill Cosby (The Cosby Show) instead, taking Ella Grace with her.

Hartwell claims that in lieu of Knight Pulliam showing up for her TV dad, it kept him away from being a real dad to their child. Before this motion had been filed by Hartwell, Knight Pulliam had previously filed a motion of her own when claiming Hartwell to be in contempt of court after he did not pay child support that she was owed. Her court filing was as recent as this past May.

Hartwell and Knight Pulliam have had a public back and forth following Hartwell filing for divorce from the actress last July. The two were married on New Year’s Day. So, their very public divorce came a mere seven months after the couple had been married and, shockingly, nine days after Knight Pulliam revealed she was pregnant with the pair’s first child. The relationship has been bitter one ever since and included cheating allegations, as well as Hartwell publicly calling for a paternity test for their daughter.

According to reports, Hartwell and Knight Pulliam are due to appear back in court next month for a 120-day conference for their ongoing divorce and custody battle.
