Steve Harvey Will Reportedly Be Sued for $60 Million By Ex-Wife Mary Harvey

Sometimes the past doesn’t stay in the past. Steve Harvey’s second ex-wife, Mary Harvey, is reportedly in the process of suing the entertainer for $60 million. Their marriage might have ended well over a decade ago, but Mary claims that she is still dealing with the consequences that came with their dissolution. TMZ reports that Mary Harvey hopes to alleviate the mental and physical damage she endured over the years paid in full by her millionaire ex.

This news comes less than a week after controversy sparked with the leak of Steve’s memo to the staff of his Steve Harvey talk show. Steve saw some negative backlash in response to the memo from the public. So, this lawsuit is another blow to the star’s up and down public image in the last year. The lawsuit details a litany of damages, including child endangerment, torture, kidnapping, conspiracy against rights, emotional distress, and breach of contract. Mary claims that these allegations transpired over the course of their nine-year marriage.

Mary has always been vocal about her ill feelings towards her ex-husband, Steve. In 2011, nearly six years after their divorce was finalized, Mary spoke very candidly about the Family Feud host. The videos posted on YouTube, covered the infidelities he had with current wife Marjorie Harvey while he and Mary were married. In fact, she named Steve’s alleged affair with Marjorie as what ultimately led to the demise of their marriage.

Mary Harvey’s legal team has not yet officially filed the hefty $60 million lawsuit, but a woman speaking on her behalf as her “civil rights activist” exclusively tells TMZ that they will be soon enough. A statement regarding the lawsuit has not been issued by Steve or a member of his camp.
