TLC Announces Date for Final Album and Asks Fans for Title Ideas

TLC has announced the date for their final album, but the R&B groups needs the help of their fans to name the highly anticipated album!

According to Billboard, the group known for hits including “Waterfalls” and “No Scrubs”, is set to drop their last and final album June 2017, per the group’s manager Bill Diggins. “Hey Kickstarter Family, the album date is firm, June 30th is the release of the new TLC album that you made happen! Tionne and Chilli have been working night and day to hit this date. The video and a photo shoot on April 18th, 19th, 20th,” Diggins wrote on Kickstarter.

The Kickstarter campaign to fund the groups’ album started January 2015. Since then, the campaign exceeded the campaign’s goal, earning over $430,000 with 4,201 backers. Although the group has a release date – as reported by Billboard, Diggins then asked fans for a special favor, “We need your help…let’s hear your suggestions for the album title! Tionne and Chilli are still undecided so looking to you for inspiration.”

This will be the group’s first album solely featuring T-Boz and Chilli since the death of member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez, who passed seven months before the release of 2002’s 3D. Recently, the R&B group will perform at the I Love the 90’s – The Party Continues Tour with Naughty by Nature, Montell Jordan, and Biz MarkieThe nostalgic summer 2017 tour is set to begin July 2017 with tour dates into September 2017.
