Jay Z and Jim Jones Bury the Hatchet, Jones Signs with Roc Nation

Jim Jones Roc Nation Jim Jones and Jay Z have put their longstanding beef to rest in favor of a business deal that will help them both make money, as opposed to enemies.

The beef between Jones and his Diplomats crew (including Cam’ron and Juelz Santana) and Jay spurred from the division of Def Jam/Roc-a-Fella Records- where the rap group was signed at the time. When Dame Dash and Jay Z split the companies and ended their friendship, the Diplomats sided with Dash, which at the time meant against Jay Z. Now, Jones is ready to put all of that behind him, signing a management deal with Jay’s Roc Nation. “As you get older you realize that most of your peers are either dead or in jail,” Jones said in a quote provided to Billboard. “The fact that we can move past the BS is a testimony [to] how much we have grown.”

Under the deal, Roc will handle Jones’ music, fashion, acting and other ventures.

Roc Nation exec Vic Medina was front and center when the paperwork was signed and shared the moment with his fans on social media:
