Janet Jackson Welcomes Son with Husband Wissam Al Mana

Janet Jackson gives birth
Janet Jackson is officially a mom!

The 50-year-old icon gave birth to her first child, a baby boy named Eissa, with husband Wissam Al Mana on Tuesday, Jan. 3rd. A rep tells People magazine that it was a “stress-free health delivery”.

“Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world,” a rep for the singer said in a statement according to the site.

Jackson postponed her Unbreakable world tour earlier this year to start a family with her husband of five years.”My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour,” she explained in an April 6 Facebook video message. She announced she was expecting just a month later.

As with the rest of her private life, Jackson maintained a low profile during her pregnancy. She was photographed in London back in December while out shopping with her husband. The pictures of her growing baby bump rapidly made their way around the internet as the first sign of proof that she was indeed pregnant.

Janet and her husband wed in 2012. Eissa is the first child for both Jackson and Al Mana.

Congrats to the new parents!
