Marvel’s First ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Trailer Is Diverse and Awesome

spider-man-homecoming-trailerMarvel debuted the first trailer for Spider-Man:Homecoming during Jimmy Kimmel Live and the movie not only looks like a fun ride, but a diverse one too!

The latest iteration of the story stars newcomer Tom Holland as a high school-aged Peter Parker, who is just beginning to get a handle on his new spidey powers. Holland made his first appearance as the superhero in Captain America: Civil War. Spider-Man:Homecoming appears to be set shortly after Civil War, with Peter Parker still under the guidance of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) as he learns to control his new gifts.

The trailer for the film features plenty of shots of the newbie web-slinger in action, but we also get a peek at his impressive and diverse supporting cast. Zendaya briefly appears as her character, the snarky-yet-smart Michelle- and we also get first looks at Donald Glover’s mystery character and Bokeem Woodbine, who’ll be taking on Spider-Man as Shocker. Spidey’s crush, Liz Allen, will be portrayed by another newcomer, Laura Harrier.
