Kanye West Released From Hospital 1 Week After Admission

Kanye West is headed home after his week-long stay UCLA Medical Center.

The rapper was checked in for exhaustion and sleep deprivation after an incident occurred at his trainer Harley Pasternak’s home. When paramedics arrived at the scene, they decided to hospitalize West for “his own health and safety.” Shortly before West’s breakdown, he made headlines for going on a 15+ minute rant about a slew of subjects from Jay Z and Beyonce to Google and the media, before walking off stage and cutting his show short.

There have been multiple reports that West has also been suffering from paranoia.

“He’s exhausted, he’s just really tired. He’s had a grueling tour and it’s been a grind so he just needs some rest,” Kris Jenner previously told Extra regarding the rapper cancelling the rest of his Saint Pablo Tour dates.

The rapper has now been released from the hospital and has been left under the care of his wife, Kim Kardashian, and his physician, Dr. Michael Farzam.

According to TMZ‘s sources the rapper still has a difficult road ahead of him. They told the site that “Kanye is not out of the woods … he needs ongoing psychological and medical treatment.”

Since Kanye’s hospital stay, reports of fights between he and Kim just before his breakdown also surfaced. “He would be up all night ranting about things,” a source told US Weekly. “They were fighting because he was impossible to live with.”
