ludacris-chicken-and-beer-atlantaLudacris has finally launched his latest business venture that was 3 years in the making- his new restaurant Chicken N Beer is open and operational in Concourse D of Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.

The restaurant, named after Luda’s double-platinum 2003 album, features menu items like ‘Luda’s Chicken + Pecan Waffles’, ‘Stout Braised Beef Cheeks’, Shrimp + Grits’, ‘Battered Catfish’ and more. There’s even a dessert menu- with treats like ‘Bourbon Peach Shortcake’ and Southern Fried Apple Pie’-for the travelers who want to satiate their sweet tooths.

The Atlanta native showed his fans how proud he is of his new business venture, sharing a sneak peek video the day before opening day of the restaurant’s interior and his hype staff.”It took me three years, but it’s finally coming into fruition,” he says in the video. “Anything that’s worth waiting for is worth having, and we are finally here. I’ve seen it come from my third album all the way to a restaurant… I’m talking about great food, great drinks, great energy, and my employees are the best employees in the world.”

This isn’t Ludacris’ first foray into the restaurant industry- he previously opened a restaurant in Midtown Atlanta called Straits, which closed in 2012- about the same time that Luda first announced that he was working on making Chicken N Beer a reality.

Take a look at some of the pics Luda shared from his restaurant’s opening day below!
