han-solo-female-leads The highly anticipated Han Solo spinoff film has found its titular star and has moved on to the task of finding a leading lady that will give him a run for his money.

han-solo-female-leadsTessa Thompson, Zoe Kravitz and Naomi Scott are all reportedly in the running to land the role of the female lead in the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars spinoff.

Variety‘s sources have confirmed that all three actresses tested for the film in London recently, but no decisions have been made yet.

The three stars are all on their way to becoming household names, thanks to their steadily growing popularity. Thompson, whom many will remember from Veronica Mars, was praised for her performance in 2015’s Creed, while Kravitz appeared in Divergent films and Scott, whose background is Indian and British, is starring in the Power Rangers reboot film as Pink Ranger Kimberly Hart.

Along with trying to find the film’s female lead, the studio has also been auditioning young actors for the role of Lando Calrissian. Atlanta‘s Donald Glover, Straight Outta Compton‘s O’Shea Jackson and The Get Down‘s Yahya Abdul-Mateen II were all previously said to have been front-runners, with Glover rumored to be the favorite.

The highly sought after role of young Han Solo ended up going to Alden Ehrenreich after an intense audition process.

The yet-to-be-titled Han Solo spinoff film is scheduled to hit theaters May 25, 2018, soit’s safe to say the studio has a little time to nail down all of their characters.
