Joe Budden Disses Drake and Meek Mill in New Track

Joe Budden v meek Mill
Joe Budden’s long rumored diss track is finally here, and he definitely didn’t hold back.

As expected, the Slaughterhouse rapper takes some clear shots at Drake in his new track, “Making a Murderer Pt.1,” but doesn’t stop there. He also goes after Meek Mill (whom Drake has been publicly “beefing” with for the last year) and Jay Z.

Budden goes in right from the beginning, rapping “My words ain’t ghostwritten / I ain’t Drake.” He also made sure to make his opinions on Drake’s newest project, Views, very clear. “A black cloud all over The 6, check the overview/You’re so indirect, shit wasn’t real clear/Either Jimmy actin’ or he really miss a wheelchair,” he raps.

The feud between the two rappers stems from Budden’s poor review of Views. Shortly after Drake’s newest album dropped, Budden took to his I’ll Name This Podcast Later podcast to reveal that while he liked the album, Drake sounds uninspired. “I think that that kid on that album that I heard sounds real f****n’ uninspired. That’s what I think. I think that that music is real good. You can’t fool a real n*gga…That music sounds good and I enjoyed it…40, you sound amazing. 40 continues to progress. Drake, you do not. I said the other day on this podcast I miss the Drake that starts the waves, not hops on other waves and I’ll say it again: I miss the Drake that pushes the f****n’ agenda, not lets the agenda push him.” he said on a video posted to Instagram.

That obviously didn’t sit well with the Toronto rapper who proceeded to take a shot at Budden in “4 p.m. in Calabassas” in which Drake can be heard saying “pump, pump, pump it up” in a cadence eerily similar to Budden’s 2003 hit “Pump It Up.”

“Making a Murderer” is Budden’s first released track in years and something tells me we will be hearing a lot more, very soon.
