Paul George To Appear On Cover Of NBA 2K17

NBA2KIndiana Pacers star Paul George will be the cover athlete for the NBA 2K17 video game.

The game’s cover was unveiled at an event on Wednesday and features George in both his Pacers and Team USA jerseys. The baller came back from a leg injury this season, averaging 23.1 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game and leading Indiana to the playoffs.

The 26-year-old All-Star shooting guard will appear on the cover of the standard edition of the game while newly retired Lakers Legend Kobe Bryant will cover a special “Legend Edition” of 2K17.

“I have been playing NBA 2K as long as I can remember,” said George, according to IGN. “and to be honored as a cover athlete of NBA 2K17 is a blessing and vote of confidence that my hard work on and off the court has paid off.

This isn’t George’s first time on a cover, however. The athlete was previously featured on the main page of the MyNBA2K16 companion app.

Recent 2K covers have featured some of the NBA’s biggest stars including Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis and James Harden.

NBA 2K17 Standard Edition and NBA 2K17 Legend Edition will be available on September 20 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
