Mike Epps Earns High School Diploma

Mike Epps Graduation

Comedian Mike Epps has reached a milestone that proves it’s not about how long it takes you to accomplish a goal, as long as you manage to accomplish it.

The 45-year-old actor and funnyman recently received his high school diploma from Arsenal Technical High, as part of the Class of 2016. In addition to walking in his cap and gown, Epps also gave a speech at the ceremony, expressing his happiness to be there and encouraging the students in attendance to make the most out of their education.

“This is so emotional to me because I didn’t get a chance to graduate like this. And now I’m 45 years old and just to be amongst you guys is such blessing,” he said to his fellow graduates. “I’m so proud of you and I want you to continue to keep pushing on and go to college and get as many degrees as you can. My beautiful mama, that’s sitting in the audience, she told me when I was young, she said, ‘Mike, one day you’re gonna wish you would’ve gotten your education.’”

Mike’s mom, daughter and granddaughter were in attendance to show their support and he posted some sweet (and of course, funny) shots from the day to his Instagram. Take a look (and listen to part of Epps’ speech) below.

Congrats to Epps on his accomplishment!
